Important Notice about Rutgers Postbac/Premed Program!!!

Rutgers Postbac/Premed Program will not be accepting applications for Fa '09 or Spring '10 entrance.  In January 2010, applications for Summer/Fall 2010 entrance will be accepted.  Please watch our website for updates.

 Please note, this program is designed for students who did not take the mandatory courses while an undergraduate; it is not intended for students attempting to improve their GPA/Science GPA.

 Students who are already in the program will be served by the advisors and staff of the Health Professions Office.  If you have questions, please feel free call and make an appointment.

The Health Professions Office (hereafter referred to as HPO) is a full-time service meeting the needs of students and alumni of Rutgers University - New Brunswick. The HPO provides services to students applying  to a variety of health professions including allopathic (M.D.) and osteopathic (D.O.) medicine, dentistry, physician assistant, physical therapy, podiatry, optometry, and public health schools.

In addition to counseling and advising students during their undergraduate studies, the office provides a variety of additional services to students. Computer stations are available for students to access information from various health-related websites.  The office maintains a confidential file for each student as a repository for their letters of recommendation.  Once a student opens a file they are also entered into our database and receive a monthly newsletter of events and other relevant information by e-mail. 

The HPO provides information about and coordinates applications to a number of specialized programs including the BA/MD Programs with UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) and UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School (NJMS), and the BA/DMD Program with UMDNJ-New Jersey Dental School (NJDS).
