Molecular Probes is a company that has developed a number of unique fluorescent dyes which can be used for conjugation to antibodies (immunofluorescence) or used for direct labeling of cytoplasmic organelles. Therefore, these stains provide some unique perspectives of the distribution of organelles, especially those usually not visible by conventional light microscopy.
