Rutgers, Ecology and Evolution Graduate Student
In May 2008 I completed my Bachelor's Degree at Rutgers University majoring in Ecology and Conservation Science, with a minor in Marine Science. Soon after I interned at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC) in the Invertebrate Zoology Lab and then returned to New Jersey.
I began working for Dr. Burger in 2009 and currently am a full-time research associate in her lab while starting my Masters degree in the Rutgers Ecology and Evolution Graduate program. My research interests involve conservation and management for endangered species, with great interest in migratory shorebird species. My thesis research will involve obtaining and analying tag-recapture data of the threatened shorebird, Red Knot (Calidris canutus) investigating size related differences during the time periods of the spring migrations stopovers of Delaware Bay.
