Using the Projector
PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH THE PROJECTOR. To obtain a remote, please contact the office in charge of the conference room. If you are in need of assistance please contact the DLS Help desk @ 53661.
After you have made your connections and used the remote to turn on the projector:
On the screen you will either see the projector searching the inputs it's connected to (this should be Computer 2) or the computer image on your laptop will be displayed on the screen.
The projector should automatically detect Computer 2, if it does not press the Computer button on the remote to select Computer 2. If you are still unable to see an image on the screen:
A. Check your inputs on the wall jack for accuracy.
B. Check the resolution of your laptop. The standard resolution of the laptop should
be 32 bit for using the projectors.
Using the Remote Control

To operate, point the remote at the projection screen or at the projector (not at the computer). The range of optimum operation is about 30 feet.
Previous and Next buttons allow you to navigate through your PowerPoint presentations while in Slide Show mode.
Press the remote's Menu button to open the projector's menu system. Use the arrow buttons to navigate, and the Select button to select features and adjust values in the menus.
The remote also has a Power button to turn the projector on and off. Volume and Mute buttons to control the sound and Video and Computer buttons to switch between sources.
There are 3 video modes for viewing your presentations by using the a combination key:
1. Display on the laptop
2. Display on the screen
3. Display on both laptop & screen - best for videos
Many laptops do not automatically turn on their external video port when a projector is connected. Usually a key combination like FN+F5 is used to turn the external display on and off. You would need to refer to your user manual of the laptop.
