Admission to the MS program

Admission to the Master's program is competitive. A bachelor's degree or its equivalent is required for admission. The most appropriate undergraduate preparation is a concentration in biology (molecular, cellular, developmental, or microbiology), biochemistry, or chemistry (organic, analytical, or physical). Applicants are also expected to have an adequate background in calculus and physics. Superior ability needs to be demonstrated by grade-point average (minimum G.P.A. of 3.0), letters of recommendation, and scores on the Graduate Record Examination's general test. TOEFL scores are required of students from countries in which English is not the native language.
