Biology of Cancer

Laboratories at Rutgers/UMDNJ study a wide array of problems concerning the molecular and cell biology of cancer. The Laboratory for Cancer Research conducts research in the following areas:

The Cancer Institute of New Jersey is National Cancer Institute Clinical Research Center that contains 22 world-class research facilities whose missions are to transform laboratory results into clinical applications for the treatment of cancers.

Investigators in the Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine, the Gallo Prostate Cancer Center, and in departmental laboratories pursue interdisciplinary research problems into the biochemical and molecular genetic mechanisms that cause cancer.
