Melanoma and soft tissue oncology

The goals of this project are to examine the relationship of known prognositic variables in primary melanomas and level of Grm1 expression, to perform in vivo testing of anti-glutamate therapies in melanoma xenograft models, and to determine if suppression of Grm1 signaling affects migration and invasion, uPA expression, and vasculogenic mimicry in aggressive melanoma cell lines.
