Populations genetics, comparative genomics, evolutionary
genomics, computational biology
My lab focuses on studying genomic variation within and
between populations through the lens of the evolution. This means
that we are alternately interested in using evolutionary signals
in genetic variation to find functional elements in genomes as
well as understanding the forces that create and maintain genetic
variation. To these ends we rely on computational and statistical
approaches to glean information from large, genomic sequence data
sets.
