MicroRNA, non-coding RNA in adaptation and addiction
My research interests concentrate on understanding molecular
mechanisms of bioadaptation. Currently, we investigate
contribution of microRNA to remodeling of gene expression by
alcohol and to the development of tolerance. We are pursuing these
questions using human samples, animal models and cell cultures, as
well as a variety of cellular and molecular techniques, including
nucleic acid and protein isolation and electrophoresis, classical
and real-time PCR, microarrays, SNPs analysis, mammalian cell
culture, Northern and Western analysis, immunofluorescence,
transient transfections, immunoprecipitation, and ChIP.
