Dr. Christopher Rongo will present, Regulated AMPA Receptor Trafficking In Vivo In Response To Experience and Environment
Wednesday, September 07, 2011
AMPA-type glutamate receptors mediate the bulk of excitatory communication between neurons in the brain. The regulated trafficking of these receptors is thought to underlie multiple forms of synaptic plasticity. Here I will discuss my lab's studies of AMPA receptor trafficking in vivo, with an emphasis on how prior experience and hypoxic stress modulate trafficking to affect changes in behavioral and neurological function.
